BIO 315 Plants and Humans

This survey course examines how plants and humans have affected one another throughout the ages. Emphasis will be placed on the evolution of the biological, sociological, and political interactions between plants and humans. Topics will include historical and modern agriculture; climatic and geographical influences; and food, drug, and textile influences. Special consideration will be given to the modern-day relationships between humans and plants (particularly food) in everyday life.
