ComStar Basic Tower and Site Technician
The ComStar Telecommunications Technician Certificate Program provides an alternative educational pathway from the traditional two-year or four-year degree for recent high school graduates, students seeking a career change or transitioning veterans seeking rapid placement in the highly competitive civilian job market. Without an extensive investment in time, ComStar Telecommunications Technician graduates would benefit greatly since the telecommunications industry provides excellent opportunities for career advancement, as well as geographic flexibility.
This continuing education program, unique to Cumberland University, is designed specifically to educate and train technicians in all aspects of the safety and technological knowledge required of a contemporary technician working in a 3G/4G telecommunications environment. The ComStar Telecommunications Technician Training Certificates meet all standards of ANSI, ASSE, and OSHA for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health and Environmental Training. In addition, the coursework also meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE).
