Course Overload

A full time undergraduate student may register for 12-18 credit hours each semester. Students, with at least a 3.00 GPA, who wish to take more than 18 hours in any semester must complete an academic appeal form, not to exceed 21 hours. Students approved for an overload will be responsible for the additional cost.

Required documents

  1. A letter from the student indicating the reason for the overload, the semester in which the student plans to enroll in an overload.
  2. Complete the Drop/Add Form including the course number(s) and name(s) of the courses to be added for overload, if approved.
  3. Verification from the student's advisor that the student has at least a 3.00 GPA.
