HIS 204 Introduction to Public History
This course surveys the various sub-fields of public history, including museum studies, historic preservation, heritage tourism, and cultural resources management. This course provides an overview of the careers, interdisciplinary methods, and federal legislation applicable to those who work in the field. Students will develop critical understanding of the presentation and preservation of history for the general public.
