Creative and Imaginative Writing

Mission Statement

The mission of the Creative & Imaginative Writing program is to provide learning space and a workshop environment for students to experiment, practice, develop, and publish their original work in the major genres of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, drama, and the various sub-genres while, also, gaining knowledge and experience in professional sectors of contemporary creative writing.

Students seeking teacher licensure in Tennessee cannot choose this degree.

Area I - Foundation Skills - 3 hours
