Interdisciplinary Studies w/emphasis in American Studies

The American Studies emphasis presents students with the opportunity to study American history, literature, and culture in order to better understand the role of class, ethnicity, gender, power, and race in American society. This interdisciplinary perspective provides the foundation of critical thinking and social awareness that is essential to a variety of local, national, and global careers. Successful students with an emphasis in American Studies will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Area I – Foundation Skills - 2 hours

FSL 101 is required for new and transferring students with less than 24 credit hours. Students must earn a "C" or higher in FSL 101.
