HIS 426 United States History, 1941 to the Present

This course is a detailed examination of United States history from the attack on Pearl Harbor to the present. Special emphasis is placed upon military conflicts, such as World War II, Korea, and Vietnam; social movements, such as the civil rights movement; and political change, such as the rise of the Solid South. An understanding of the United States' place in the global community will also be conveyed.
