ENG 305 Small Press Publication
This is a course dealing with the elements involved in organizing and operating a small independent publication house, producing mainly fiction and selected non fiction books with a focus on local authors. We will discuss all aspects of the publication processes including manuscript solicitation, editing, document design, cover design, marketing, pricing, and distribution. The course works with the independent press - Phoenix Press Publications - founded and operated by Cumberland University students and overseen by the English program.
