HIS 435 Early Modern Europe

This course examines the major cultural, economic, religious, and political themes in European history during the period from 1450-1800 in a comparative perspective. It explores how Europe changed after contact with the western hemisphere; the differences between people of different classes, religions, genders, and nations; the key political, economic, and technological changes of the time; and the cultural roles of key players from all walks of life.
