Area I - Foundations Skills - 2 hours
FSL 101 | Foundations of Scholarship and Learning | 2 |
FSL 101 is required for new and transferring freshmen with less that 24 hours. Students must earn a "C" or higher in
FSL 101.
Area I - Rhetoric and Communication - 15 hours
Area I - Mathematics (choose one) - 3-4 hours
Area II - Arts and Humanities (choose one) - 3 hours
Students must earn a "C" or higher in the Arts and Humanities section.
Area II - Literature in English (choose one) - 3 hours
Area II - The Social Sciences (choose two) - 6 hours

Education Electives - 12 hours
Students must earn a "C" or higher in all Education courses. Recommended Education courses:
ED 190,
ED 201,
ED 316,
ED 301, and
ED 322.
General Electives - 1-5 hours
Students take electives as needed, in order to fulfill the minimum of 60 semester credit hours required for graduation. Recommended courses for Child Growth & Learning: MATH 207, MU 129, PSY 201, SOC 223, and GEOG 301. Students must earn a "C" or higher in all courses.
