The Richard and Virginia Lawlor Award for Creative Non-Fiction

This award is given to the student who submits for evaluation the best piece of creative non-fiction – either memoir, travel writing, food writing, or opt/ed piece – judged on originality, use of language, form, imagery. Richard and Virginia Lawlor were benefactors of Cumberland University and donated the Phoenix Nest CU’s Centre for Creative Arts and Media.
