Policy Provisions

1. Employment of Faculty Relatives

Cumberland University prohibits employment of family members and/or persons involved in a primary relationship, where one has direct supervisory responsibility over the other.

For purposes of this policy, “primary relationship” is defined as a personal relationship by kinship (i.e. children, parents, siblings, etc.), marriage/domestic partnership (i.e. spouse, in-laws, immediate family members of in-laws, etc.), or those in a romantic friendship.
